Who are you?
My name’s Brodie Lancaster, I’m 21 and I moved from Melbourne to New York in July 2011.
What does CPW mean?
CPW stands for Cost Per Wear, which is a way of showing the value I’m getting out of my clothes based on the number of times I wear them. The lower the CPW is, the better value for money.
Didn’t you have another blog somewhere?
I was blogging miscellaneous lifestyle stuff (including a little personal style stuff) at With Love and Swallow since June 2008, and then started getting involved in the Fat Acceptance community with Surly Temple. In September 2011, after moving to New York, I decided to combine the two into Poor Little Fatty.
You work full-time—how can you justify calling yourself “poor”?
I do have a full-time job, though very little of my (small) income is spent on clothes. If I’m not buying cheap basics or thrift store bargains, I’m waiting for things to go on sale and rarely spending more than $100 on special pieces.
